In conjunction with ‘’Silver and Gold’’, Galerie Derouillon is pleased to announce a piano performance by Jean Max Mery, on Thursday, March 28th, 2024 at 7p.m
"How do you talk about an exhibition you haven’t seen yet ? This isn’t the first preface for an exhibition I’ve ever written, but it is the first time I’ve asked myself this question. Of course, I already knew when I left the artist’s studio that the gallery space would be divided with curtains, that animated sequins would slowly reflect light onto a wall, and that there would be a display of images of plants and animals. I even sat down on one of those crude hemp-concrete benche, one that was particularly short and covered with latex. I also listened to this out-of-tune version of « Be My Baby » by the Ronettes. […]"
