SHUO HAO
"L'Amour, La Mer, Les Femmes"
Group show

Shuo Hao exhibits at the Ancien Evêché during the 7th edition of Toulon's Design Parade in a Carte Blanche exhibition by Aline Asmar d'Amman

A literary stroll through poetic materiality, ́L'Amour, La Mer, Les Femmes' evokes the power of words on our imagination in an interior architecture under influence. Carried by the sense of freedom and sensuality invoked by the waves of the Mediterranean, the space unfolds like so many pages to leaf through, imprisoning in dedicated alcoves the echo of our tireless quests for beauty.

With the participation of Etel Adnan, Bianca Bondi, Théo Mercier, Richard Fauguet, Vidya Gastaldon, Caroline Achaintre, Shuo Hao

ALEXANDRE BENJAMIN NAVET
"Résonances artistiques"
Duo show

Duo Show between Arthur Hoffner and Alexandre Benjamin Navet for the Van Cleef & Arpels partner exhibition at the 7th edition of the Toulon 2023 Design Parade.

French Haute Joaillerie House Van Cleef & Arpels, a partner of Design Parade Toulon since 2016, is giving carte blanche to two artists it met during the festival and with whom it has collaborated on numerous occasions: Alexandre Benjamin Navet, winner of the Design Parade Toulon Grand Prix in 2017, and Arthur Hoffner, Design Parade Prix du Public the same year. On the second floor of the Ancien Évêché, visitors are immersed in their facetious, colorful worlds, in an exhibition that runs until November 5, 2023.

Their creations, born of the privileged relationship forged with Van Cleef & Arpels since 2018, are unveiled at the heart of a stroll-inducing scenography. Alexandre Benjamin Navet's spontaneous, vibrant line, which freely diverts the repertoire of classical architecture, transforms shop windows and boutiques into gardens invaded by multicolored butterflies. Arthur Hoffner, meanwhile, humorously thwarts the laws of physics in small theaters of geometric shapes designed to wittily stage the Perlée jewelry collection. The two designers, both masters in the art of redesigning spaces by infusing them with a touch of dream, have thus reinterpreted with freshness and lightness, according to their projects, some of the themes dear to the Maison de la Place Vendôme.
